REMINDER: we still need to fill some roles by our AGM this 17 July. Specifically we are looking for:
Gear Steward
BBQ Coordinator
Treasurer
Vice

No experience required. Handover for all roles. Easy peasy lemon squeeze.

Please come along to our AGM. We have many positions open for the upcoming season and we need your help. The best way to make change is to join the committee and make your ideas happen. Our meetings are very casual and we try to discuss most items over chat as we know everyone is busy.

Committee positions:

JA PRESIDENT – Acts as the speaker for the group and liaises with senior committee members. Forms part of the Team Selection committee.

VICE PRESIDENT – Assists the JA Chair in their role and also becomes Chair in the Chairman’s absence.

SECRETARY – Minutes meetings, tables correspondence and sets meeting agenda. Assists with trophy and surf awards.

TREASURER – Liaises with the club accountant on the income and expenses for the nipper group. Prepares the nipper budget. Collects BBQ funds each Sunday.

REGISTRAR – Works with the surf office to maintain nipper member records. Assists with trophy and surf awards.

SURF SPORTS DIRECTOR – Organises the Sunday programs and liaises with coaches on training programs. Forms part of the Team Selection committee for carnivals.

U8-U10 TEAM MANAGER – Organises junior carnivals and team selections.

U11-U14 TEAM MANAGER – Organises senior carnivals and team selection.

WATER SAFETY SUPERVISOR – Ensure correct water safety numbers are held each Sunday and assigned to appropriate arenas.

FUNDRAISING MANAGER – Organises workforce for various activities i.e Carols, movie nights, raffles, etc

SPONSORSHIP MANAGER – Obtains, liaises and organises sponsors for the year.

GEAR STEWARD – Maintains a register of equipment and controls board leases.

TRAINING OFFICER – Helps ensure all nipper training awards are completed (mainly U8-U13’s)

BBQ CO-ORDINATOR – Purchases supplies for BBQ and oversees the BBQ each week.

UNIFORM COORDINATOR – Organise uniforms swimwear etc for nippers and age managers. Sell caps and gear on Sunday mornings.

*Roles can be shared between people.
